About Morgan Richard

Morgan Richard, MA, LMFT, AAMFT-S, PMH-C, C-EFCT

Hi, I’m Morgan.

Morgan Richard, MA, LMFT, AAMFT-S, PMH-C, C-EFCT

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Certified PMH Professional, and Founder and Clinical Director of Rooted Relational Therapy, my work focuses on women’s sexual, maternal, and perinatal mental health. I also support individuals and couples in reconnecting with themselves and each other in ways that go beyond traditional talk therapy.

This work is immersive and experiential, creating space for change that lives in the body as much as the mind.

I listen beneath what’s called “normal.”

What drew me into this specific corner of the field was watching how many women were told their experiences were “normal” or “just part of it” when something much deeper was asking to be heard. That gap between what women were living through and what they were being offered is what drives this work every day.

In practice, this means helping you understand what’s happening within you – emotionally, physically, and relationally – so you can feel more grounded, confident, and at home in your own life.

Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, postpartum, intimacy challenges, sexual pain, or a major life transition, the focus stays on rebuilding connection and moving forward with clarity and self-trust.

Sessions stay close to your internal experience.

What you’re feeling, what your body is communicating, and how past experiences may be shaping the present. From there, we slow things down, create space to process, and begin shifting patterns that no longer serve you.

My clinical approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy, including Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (C-EFCT), along with Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based and trauma-informed work, and specialized training in women’s sexual and perinatal mental health. The Perinatal Mental Health certification (PMH-C) and AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation (AAMFT-S) reflect deep investment in these areas.

Training and supervising other therapists in this work has been one of the things that most deeply shapes how I show up for my own clients.

Supportive, attuned, and real.

The process is meant to feel supportive and deeply human.

Clients often experience this work as warm, attuned, and compassionate, while still moving toward meaningful clarity and change. It can be tender and vulnerable, and also deeply strengthening.

Outside of Work

Being a mother of two daughters shapes how I understand what my clients carry. Slowing down, staying present, and making space for connection, whether with family, outdoors, or in quiet moments, are values that carry directly into the therapy room.

Rebuilding your life and becoming whole again starts here.

Whether you’re looking for a focused intensive, therapy, or another service, we’ll guide you toward the approach that aligns with your goals. Call or message today to get started.
