It’s Friday night. One of you says something about the credit card statement. The other hears criticism. Within seconds, voices go up, or walls go up, and you’re in the same argument you’ve had a 100 times before.
Forty-five minutes later, you’re in separate rooms. Both of you know this isn’t working. Both of you are exhausted, and neither of you knows how to make it stop.
Something deeper is running the pattern. One of you reaches, the other pulls back. Or both of you come out swinging because underneath it, you’re both afraid of the same thing: losing each other.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is widely considered the gold standard in couple therapy, with some of the strongest research outcomes of any model. It works because it goes beneath surface-level communication to the emotional and attachment patterns driving conflict and disconnection.
Most approaches teach you how to fight fair or compromise. EFT addresses why the same conflict keeps returning. When one partner shuts down, we don’t teach the other to “give them space.” We help both of you understand what the shutdown actually means and what’s needed beneath it.
Our therapists are Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, AAMFT-Approved Supervisors, and Certified Emotionally Focused Couple Therapists (C-EFCT). That certification represents the highest level of training available in couple therapy. We trained in multiple models before specializing in EFT. That range lets us integrate other approaches where needed, but our work stays grounded in the framework with the most reliable mechanism of change.
We identify the cycle running your relationship within the first few sessions. Then, we slow it down in real time, helping you see what’s happening beneath the surface: the fear under the anger, the longing under the withdrawal.
This work asks something real of both of you, something deeper than communication scripts or compromise techniques. The shifts come from being willing to show what’s actually happening underneath the frustration or the silence. That can feel vulnerable. It should. That’s where change happens.

You can work with either of us individually or with both of us together for a more intensive, collaborative experience. We offer ongoing therapy and focused three-day intensives. In either format, the goal is the same: to help you move out of the cycle that’s been running your relationship and into something more secure, more connected, and built to last.
The credit card conversation comes up again. This time, one of you notices the tension. Instead of defending, you say what’s underneath it: “I got scared we’re not on the same page.” The other pauses, softens, and moves toward instead of away.
The same issues still come up. But they stop pulling you apart. You repair more quickly, you reach for each other instead of retreating, and the relationship starts feeling like something that holds you.
For many couples, this work becomes the turning point where things finally shift in a meaningful and lasting way.
